AquaSox Community Programs

Academic All-Stars

The Everett AquaSox Baseball Club is excited to introduce our Academic All Stars program, designed to reward scholastic success in middle and high schools in our area. We would like to invite your school to participate in our Academic All-Stars program. Overall, the goal of this program is to:

  • Recognize the academic excellence of middle and high school students in our area
  • Provide an incentive to achieving or maintaining a high GPA
  • Reward significant scholastic improvement of struggling students
  • Continue our relationship with the academic community by supporting schools and the important work they do!

Here is an overview of our program:

  1. Each school sets its own academic goal to be rewarded (i.e. 3.5 GPA, all grades B or above, student who raises their GPA by a full point over the quarter/trimester).
  2. Schools run the program either 3rd quarter or 2nd trimester, depending on which grading period is the second to final one of the school year so that vouchers can be easily distributed.
  3. School publicizes program in school newspaper, PTA publications, morning PA announcements.
  4. At the end of the selected grading period, school contacts the Everett AquaSox and requests the number of game vouchers necessary for students who have reached the goal according to the criteria set by the school. The prize for achieving this goal is a complimentary AquaSox ticket! These vouchers will be sent out to the school within two weeks of request.
  5. Students who redeem their voucher at least ten days before the designated game will have a seat upgrade and a complimentary hot dog and chips coupon for the ballpark!

If you would like to have your school participate in this incentive program, please email teresas@aquasox.com no later than March 31 and provide the following:

  • The name of the main contact person for your school (usually principal, counselor, etc.)
  • School name and phone number with extension, district, job title, and email address.
  • What criterion will be used to reward students;
  • The time period (with dates) that the program will be implemented.

Please feel free to call Teresa Sarsted at (425) 258-3673 or send her an e-mail at teresas@aquasox.com with further questions. We look forward to working with you this year to meet our mutual goal of supporting students in their academic endeavors.
